Midtown Fellowship 12 South Kidtown Director works in partnership with the 12 South Ministry Team to develop and implement an engaging children’s ministry that is Gospel centered and ministers to both children and the families of 12 South. Principally
the 12 South Kidtown Director is responsible for the weekly planning, coordination and leadership of the Kidtown Team that leads at the 12 South congregation each Sunday.

The 12 South Kidtown Director reports to the Teaching Pastor – 12 South
Scope:
The 12 South Kidtown Director’s scope of operations falls within the design, development, discipleship and deployment of activities directly related to 12 South Kidtown. This predominantly involves the routine weekly tasks of coordinating the Kidtown Team, lesson plans, games/crafts, room requirements, Policy and Protocol adherence, interfacing with the 12 South Ministry Team and managing volunteers and paid Assistants. Beyond the routine weekly tasks there are longer term objectives, projects and programs that the 12 South Kidtown Director is responsible for planning, implementing and directing. These include, but are not limited to: Greater 12 South Kidtown program, special events, Holiday programs, Family outreach, VBS, etc.
Qualifications:
Preferred Experience: 3+ years related field (teaching, children’s ministry, etc.)
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree
Responsibilities:
Design
- Done in partnership with the 12 South Ministry Team
- Envisions the different programs and components of Kidtown to best serve and minister to the 12 South congregation
- Envisions the style and aesthetic of Kidtown 12 South
- Envisions the needs of the Kidtown Team and 12 South families to develop effective programs
- Envisions and identifies the standard(s) that marks Kidtown 12 South as a gospel centered ministry
- Identifies and designs a safe and inviting children’s ministry
- Identifies and designs the organizational structure required to manage paid and volunteer staff for the leading of Kidtown on a weekly basis and for special events
Development
- Recruitment of volunteers to serve as Kidtown teachers
- Recruitment of paid Kidtown Assistants
- Development of paid Kidtown Assistants
- Development of volunteers
- Establishing the ethos and identity of 12 South Kidtown and Kidtown Team
Development of resources
- Sunday Children’s Program (homegrown or purchased package)
- 12 South Kidtown Volunteer Handbook
- Games, Toys, Activities, Supplies, Crafts, etc.
- Special 12 South Kidtown events (and select Movement Kidtown events)
Discipleship
- Knowing the volunteers and paid Assistants that comprise the Kidtown Team
- Caring/encouragement of the volunteers and paid Assistants
- Calling the 12 South Kidtown Team deeper and further into gospel community with one another and 12 South
- Engaging the spiritual needs of the Kidtown Team members
- Engaging the spiritual needs of the children and families served by Kidtown
Deployment
- Weekly planning and prep for Sunday Kidtown programs
- Implementation of greater Kidtown program and ministry objectives
- Education, implementation and adherence to the Kidtown 12 South Volunteer Handbook by volunteers and paid Assistants
- Managing and balancing the resources (human and physical) available to Kidtown 12 South
- Continued leadership of the Kidtown Team in the standards and identity of a gospel centered children’s ministry and worship of God
- Managing the 12 South Kidtown Budget to meet the needs of the Kidtown Team and 12 South Kidtown ministry
