Silence and stillness before God (2 Min)

Bragging on each other

Verse 16
What do you brag about? You know, those stories that you have told over a hundred times and they just keep getting better and better. What is it about those stories of high school glory, amazing fishing trips and accomplishments at work that demand to be repeated again and again? That’s easy, they’re full of stuff we love. Ask a new Dad about his baby girl and watch what happens. In this passage, Paul is bragging about what our Father loves– His people. How we love people matters. When we love them well, we labor for their good in the gospel. It can be our spouse, kids, neighbor or the people in your discipleship group. We don’t labor in vain, and one day we will join Paul and boast before the Father about each other.

Where are you laboring in the people that God has placed in your life?
Where do you need fellow believers to labor for you?
