12 South Men: Summer Dinner and Discussion Kick Off

To be human is to be shaped by our daily habits and rhythms. Author Annie Dillard said, “How we spend our days is, of course, how we spend our lives. What we do with this hour, and that one, is what we are doing.” What does this reality mean for the Christian life? What common, seemingly benign habits might be having a more formative effect on our hearts than the Gospel? How do we actually grow into people who more deeply love God and others? And how can we practically shape some of our habits and rhythms to enable this while avoiding rigidity and legalism?

This summer, you are invited to gather for discussion around these questions as we read through The Common Rule: Habits of Purpose for an Age of Distraction by Justin Whitmel Early. 12 South Men will begin with a kick off event on Tuesday, June 17 at the Phillips family farm. There will be two additional discussions on Tuesday, July 15 and Tuesday, July 29 at the same location. We’ll begin the evenings by gathering to share a meal together. Afterward, we’ll split into small groups around bonfires to reflect on what we’ve read and how it has shaped our lives. These nights are designed to deepen our faith, strengthen our brotherhood, and spark meaningful conversations. Please register for location information!
