Why Midtown?

We believe that Midtown is uniquely equipped to fill the gap between unchurched people and healthy, growing congregations.

  • Our mission is to create a movement of gospel transformation through multiple congregations.
  • Since 2000, we have planted 6 congregations around the city of Nashville.
  • We train, mentor, and support our leaders so that they are never alone in the work of pastoring congregations.
  • We have the stability of a larger church body and the agility to meet the particular needs to congregations of differing sizes, life stages, and demographics.

How Does D615 Work?

  1. RECRUIT: Working with a variety of ministry partners across the country, we will identify potential candidates, assess them and recommend a match with one of our congregations.
  2. BUILD: Each church planting resident will work on a congregational team, with a job description written by the congregational pastor. From the start, they will be a part of ministering to our people. In addition, they will meet each week with the team for church planting development training.
  3. GO: We don’t just send the church planter, we go with him. At the time of launch, the church plant will be salaried, funded, staffed and celebrated by all of Midtown.
