Job Summary

The WBE XD works closely with the WBE Pastor to execute the 4th Service for the 12 South congregation. To advance the mission of Midtown 12 South at WBE by developing strategies, executing the vision, managing deployment strategies, and ensuring adequate funding and human resources to execute the vision.

Beyond training from the 12S XD, the WBE XD is a member of the Movement-wide XD Co-op, which provides opportunities to enhance performance through formal training and sharing best practices.

Functions & Responsibilities

  • Labors under direct supervision of WBE Pastor
  • Develop, with WBE Pastor vision for the 12S @ WBE that aligns with overall mission of Midtown 12S
  • Help provide strategic planning, programming, and leadership to the ministry
  • Help develop, implement, review/assess 12S @ WBE OGSM and budget with WBE Pastor and 12S XD 
  • Help develop, manage, and maintain ministry resources and budget, including facilities and equipment
  • Build and lead a team of volunteers (including recruitment, training and scheduling) to carry out ministry for the WBE service
  • Evaluate volunteers, offering recommendations/commendations
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures and develop/train for emergency procedures.
  • Communicate to staff, body and volunteers all relevant information (policy, procedures, schedule, etc.)
  • Plan and execute 12S @ WBE events in concert with 12S congregational ministry plan

Education, Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will have:
  • At least two years experience of working in administrative leadership in a church or non-profit setting.
  • An active and committed Christian faith with beliefs and lifestyle consistent with the doctrine of the PCA.
  • Strong gifting in leadership and administration (required)
Additional Skills and Experience:
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills to build high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency with Asana or other project management software
  • Ability to process and hold sensitive and confidential information
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
  • Ability to recruit and organize volunteers to assist in carrying out the vision
  • Demonstrated strategic experience – specifically, can develop and prioritize various options for programs and projects
  • Experience in Budget Management, including tracking, identifying trends that might result in future issues or opportunities
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Planning Center, and related software.

  • Launching 12S @ WBE and partnering with WBE Pastor to manage WBE Team and volunteers
  • Adjusting and fine-tuning policies and procedures for 12S @ WBE operations after launch
